Recently, in the past year or two, I noticed some indentations in my skull that show up occasionally. I’ve yet to find any information about them on Google or the like (Web MD, etc), so I’m hoping by posting here, perhaps Google will pick it up and someone else with the same situation may have an idea.
The dents are symmetrical, mirrored across the left and right halves. They’re about 5cm long and 1.5cm wide — sometimes larger in both dimensions. I only noticed them because of a nervous tendency to mess with my hair. They’re not there all the time. I’ve only noticed them late at night — tonight is the earliest, being only around 10:30PM.
Since I can’t predict when they’ll be there, I can’t see myself going to a doctor to explain all of this, wasting money and time on something he wouldn’t be able to witness. Plus, it’s not associated with any pain or dizzyness or anything like that — perhaps only tiredness, but that’s probably due to the hour more than the dent. It could be nothing, but nobody I have spoken to about it has found it familiar. It’s a mystery.
