I just finished installing and setting up Gallery (unfortunately hosted by Sourceforge), to host images taken of my house at closing, and images taken after much of the interior was repainted.

The color is coming in great. Of course, this photo, taken from my camera phone, doesn’t do a good job of showing the difference between old and new. I expect to finish up the second coat in the entryway today. Tomorrow, I’ll be pulling up all of the masking. Then it’s off to the bedrooms. They should be far less complicated — I expect to finish them Sunday evening.
Sure sounds like Adobe has a douchebag CEO, comparing a company rivalry to a rather large terrorist attack. He’s qualified for rone‘s Asshole of the Year award!
This is all gonna take a while, heh.

Today, I signed and initialed all of the paperwork necessary to take ownership of the house, and to secure the loans. It wasn’t nearly as painful as was suggested. I think I signed my name about a dozen times, and initialed about as many pages. In fact the entire process (other than actually getting an offer accepted by the seller (it’s a very competitive market)) has been quite painless. I attribute that to my Seattle area realtor.
Officially, I take possession tomorrow at 9PM. The previous owners are already moved out however, so I may be able to get the keys earlier than that. Time to pick up some color swatches and get out the screwdriver (for two separate activities).
I wonder how so many people who work at the Westin Building in Downtown Seattle completely fail to notice the “NO PARKING” signs in front of their cars when they pull in.
