Well, it DID make $17,000,000 at the midnight show alone nationally. This time around it was also showing at 5+ screens two blocks aways at Pacific Place.
Re cinerama: It sold out last time and it sold out this time, so whether or not the lines appear to be different, the same amount of people went both times.

Ah, I didn’t realize it was at Pacific Place as well. That would explain it. Waiting indoors is much easier, especially for a movie which is potentially as bad as Episode 1 and 2 (I still haven’t seen it.)
