Good Morning America asks What happens to the loser of ‘American Idol’? I figure they must mean America; I can’t figure out who loses more than the country as a whole when so many millions of people watch this or other pseudo-reality type shows like it.

Actually, I guess there is one possible gain here — maybe Americans will learn about how important it is to vote. At least they seem to be learning about how mistakes can happen in elections. (Oh yeah. Can’t talk about election mistakes without a Diebold reference here somewhere!)
