BB Pearl’s “VoiceSignal” software

The Pearl’s “VoiceSignal” software is crap, however. It wants to call my “Dentist” or “Voice Mail” whenever I try to call anyone with a one or two syllable name (I have a friend named “Lizz”, and if I say “Lizz” it says “Voice Mail”. Amazing.) It works pretty well to call people by number, but the reason I have an address book in the phone is so I don’t have to remember people’s numbers.

I even went so far as to remove my dentist from the address book, but it still wants to call him, as though it knows I am overdue for a checkup.

People everyone have written about how great it is that you don’t have to train this thing, but for me that just means it doesn’t work at all.

Have you tried saying, “Call Lizz” in a single utterance? Mine works really well for names and even better if I say a complete command sequence in a single utterance spoken naturally, like I would talk to a human.

Yeah, I’ve tried that as well. Similar results, except it repeats “Say a command” once before giving up. I’ve also tried spelling names, just for fun: no joy.
