Hillary Clinton is in Seattle, with no way to see her without paying for the privilege, is quoted as saying:

“I’m not running because I am a woman. I’m running because I believe I am the best qualified and most experienced person.”

Did someone somewhere suggest that she’s only running because she’s a woman, or is she just being defensive? I wonder if it sounded as bizarre as it reads.
